SACHIN’S 175 GOES IN VAIN

First of all congratulation to Scahin Ramesh Tendulkar for completing 17,000 RUNS in his One day International Cricket, but ultimate result must have hurt Sachin.

India brigade lost the Battle against injured Australians. But ultimately Win is Win.
It doesn't matter whether its 3 run lost of 1 run lost , Loser are always treat as Looser.

Here, the Scahin's 175 goes In Vain but it will also difficult now to Win Series @ home soil against Aus.

For the Aussies, it was a rewind to the mid-1980s when they had the devastating opening combine of David Boon and Geoff Marsh. More than a decade and a half later a junior Marsh—his son Shaun, alongwith Shane Watson provided the side a whirlwind start sharing a 145-run stand in 25.2 overs. Marsh (112; 8x4, 2x6)) struck a runa-ball maiden century while Watson was dismissed for 93.

Though Tendulkar’s 45th century (off 81 balls) which incidentally was also the fastest by an Indian against Oz will surely remain etched in memory forever. Once again, he did his bit, but India couldn’t.

Indian Cricket in 2008

Indian Cricket is an era of modern and global cricket around the world. In 2008 world has witnessed new generation revamped Indian cricket under the commander ship of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Indian Cricket(BCC) had completed 75 years of history started in glorified manner with First Test 100 by Late Lala Amaranth legendary father of Mohinder Singh Lala Amarnath who played an important role in WORLD CUP-1983 under the captaincy of Legendary all rounder Kapil Dev Nikhanj.

In 2008, I had given a new look by Chief Selector Dilip Vengsarkar and his core team selector. The main intent of this selection panel to revamp the Indian cricket in such way that they can compete with other nation we good, smart cricket. The mission was succeeded under the President Mr. Sharad Pawar,Union Agriculture Minister and his vision. This mission was impossible without the support of some of the senior FAB FOUR of Indian cricket name as Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Saurav Ganguly and none other than Rahul Dravid but one name of V.V.S.Laxman is missing from this list may be he is not fortunate enough to get noticed even after his excellent performances and innings played under his belts.Anyways these things are part and parcels of any sports person life irrespective of which sports or game they played.

This story started after India won series in England after 26 years.Indian team wrote the better sricpt than England team in that particular series passing the history behind under the captaincy of Rahul Dravid. Everybody was enjyoing the winning moment but the only cricketer Rahul Dravid was thinking of Stepping down as captian , reason till date nobody is sure. He stepped down as Indian Cricket team capatiancy and due was there for T20 WORLD CUP CHAMPIONSHIP in South Africa. Big three of Indian cricket decided to skip this T20 Tournament and let the youbg blodd to around and face the challenge. They expected something and youster delivered under the captaincy of Mahindra Singh Dhoni.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni proved that he has potential to carry the Indian Cricket on his young shoulder to further up to No.1 Spot in World Cricket. With new fresh young blood and new coach Lalchand Rajput and his assistance Venkatesh Prasad Bowling coach) And Robin Singh (Fielding coach). India became the First T20 World Champion under Mahendra Singh Dhoni where he has to marshell his resources. This T20 championship has its own highlight may be the performance of Mahendra Singh Dhoni as Captain, Yuvraj Singh as Sixer King or Gautam Gambhir new run machine of Indian cricket after Sachin Tendulkar. The start was excellent and the journey ahead was a tough task was the for India team to maintain this image and stature what they have set after winning the inaugural T20 World Championship in South Africa. to their own expectations and succeed in Both of game test as well as one day cricket.

Will India be No.1 team in world cricket in 2009.......lets wait and watch........

Picture abhi baki hai mere dost.....Still plenty of cricket is balance to became no. 1 team INDIA.

Lords of '83: Men who won India the Cup of Joy

Hi Cricket Fans in India,
Proud to be an Indian !
Its an immense pleasure to proudly represent the glory of 1983 World Cup won by Kapil Dev's team. On behalf of the millions of India's salute and Congratulate the team for giving us pride and making mark of Indian Cricket in the World.

Memories of the historic 1983 World Cup triumph, which changed India's cricketing landscape, came alive as the heroes of the watershed victory were felicitated as part of silver jubilee celebrations here Sunday.

====================================================================================

The 15 men penned a new chapter in Indian history 25 summers ago on the hallowed turfs of Lord's by beating Clive Lloyd's invincible West Indies.

With their fond memories they transported the audience at a city hotel, as they recalled the eventful day of June 25 when a bunch of no-hopers emerged world champions.

The players, who have since become legends, were given a red carpet welcome by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

As world Cup winning captain Kapil Dev introduced his so-called "Devils" one by one on the dias, he was overcome with emotions.

"It is very difficult to talk at this moment. We will never know how it happened. In life many such things happen. Later in your life you come to know how beautiful those moments were," said Kapil.

He paid rich tributes to the fans. "Twenty-five years back the love and affection that we got from the people was unparalleled. It can never match any amount of money."

Kapil also thanked the selectors and then board president N.K.P. Salve for extending all support to them.

"Salve's leadership skills were par excellence," he said.

Former captains Chandu Borde and Bishan Singh Bedi, who were in the selection committee then, were also present at the occasion.

Board president Sharad Pawar said the historic victory accelerated the popularity of the game in the country and put Indian cricket on an upward path.

"The win gave us a strong position that we enjoy in world cricket right now," he said.

Each of the team members was presented with a cheque of Rs.2.5 million and were felicitated by Pawar and Sports Minister M.S. Gill.

Also present on the occasion were Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble and Mohammed Azharuddin and former board presidents Salve and Ranbir Singh Mahendra.

UEFA EURO 2008

The 2008 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 2008, will take place in Austria and Switzerland from 7 June to 29 June 2008. It is the second successful joint bid in the competition's history, following the UEFA Euro 2000 hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands. The 2012 competition in Poland and Ukraine is scheduled to become the third jointly-hosted tournament.

A total of 16 teams will participate in the tournament. Austria and Switzerland automatically qualified as hosts; the remaining 14 teams have been determined through qualifying matches which started in August 2006. Austria and Poland will be making their first appearance in the tournament. The winner of Euro 2008 will represent UEFA at the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa, unless Italy wins the tournament, in which case the runner-up will be entered, as Italy is already entered as the winner of the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
